Walked two blocks , made a right and saw this sushi place that Roni and I decided to try. It was literally four blocks from the Hilton and was a “local” place. We definately are not the FORMAL type.
The menu was fairly normal with the california roll, spicy tuna rolls, and even a crunchy crab roll (devine!!!). But then…..I saw……..lobster miso!!! OMG!! I had to try it. Roni ordered the regular seaweed salad. Ten minutes later I had a cup of hot green tea and this…
I have never seen or tasted anything like it. It was sooooooo good.
The seaweed salad was also not what I expected. It had a mixture of crazy seaweed and some purple seaweed. It was also garnished with cucumber, tomato, and radish. Again, both this appetizers were VERY good.
Onto the main course of four rolls. When it came to the table I immediately thought “We are never going to eat all this!”
Shockingly, it was all gone in a matter of about 20 minutes.
The crunchy crab roll (doubt that was the actual name) was the best, I would highly recommend it.
Overall the service was fabulous and the food was excellent. Our bill at the end of the night was also pretty reasonable considering how cheap I am. As we were walking out , at least four servers greeted us a good-night in their cute Japanese accent and we headed for the door. I had to take at least five packs of the chocolate mints…I LOVE THEM.
Great sushi place in NYC.

August 2, 2012Love the blog and looks like you are having a great time, not to be a negative nelly, but wouldn't it be a Japanese and not a Chinese accent?
