Like Jen, I’m SO OVER WINTER. I know it’s a common feeling, especially this year as we’ve gotten pounded on storm after storm. Temperatures in the Northeast have been colder than normal. Just the other day we were pelted by another ice storm, which kept the kids home from school, again.
I’ve been day dreaming about the trips I have planned — New Orleans in April, Denver in June (for FitBloggin‘), our yearly trip to the Jersey shore in July, Punta Cana for my birthday (I don’t think I told you about that one yet!) and Wyoming with The Boys in August — and it’s been keeping me sane through this miserable winter.
Though more than half of those trips aren’t paid for yet, I put a small deposit down to book and then pay a little here or there when I can. I barely have any logistics figured out. I haven’t verified babysitters for the trips the kids aren’t coming on, and the one I’m taking with them alone, well, let’s just say I can’t even wrap my head around how I’ll be handling that!
But flights are booked, hotels reserved and time just keeps ticking away. Before I know it I’ll be forced to sit myself down and figure it all out.
Until then I think I’ll continue to book now and worry later.
Life’s too short not to.
