A Little History

We’ve have been friends since the 6th grade. Here we are circa 1989 at the mall.

Yes. We were mall rats.

Both raised by single Moms, our big family vacations were weekends in Ocean City, NJ. Here we are in 1990 in a photo booth on the boardwalk.

We went to High School together. Always taking a “back to back” photo.

And in our Junior year took a vacation to Hawaii for Jen’s 16th birthday.

Thats when the vacation bug hit us and we realized that we can tolerate each other on a long vacation…because some people you just cannot travel with.

Our vacations took a long hiatus after that. We graduated High School (here we are at Prom 1994)

And went our separate ways for a little while in college. But always remaining in touch….even without cell phones and facebook. Amazing!!

During that time, we decided that we would take summer trips together, only the girls. We started out with driving trips to places like Virginia Beach, VA (2003,)

Then got adventurous and went to Florida!!!!!!!!!  lol

And even farther…….

Las Vegas (2007.)

After Vegas…..someone decided she wanted to have children, so we took a few years off.  Although we did not travel a lot, we still managed a few weekend trips to Atlantic City, Seaside Heights, and some drunk nights in Baltimore.

But children do not stop us!!!!

More recently we hit New York City for the BlogHer conference in 2010.

And San Diego in 2011.

As you can see we’ve been pretty domestic girls but we’re trying to change that. Our plan is to travel MORE plain and simple, but we’d also like to explore the world.

Join us as we travel alone, together and with our families. We’re not sure where we’re going but we ARE going.
